Jamila is a single mother, balancing the tasks of being a full-time Master’s in Social Work Student, working a part-time job, helping her children with virtual school, and working a 20 hour internship with the Lemon School District. Though times have been hard, Jamila manages to push through, inspire others, and make time for her children. As a future Social Worker, Jamila hopes to help the vulnerable populations in our community and speak out for those in need and that is why her friend Denise has nominated Jamila as her Hometown Hero.
