Maribel works for the union that represents the grocery workers and those in the medical industry and has continued to volunteer her time and effort into helping with food distribution events to help those less fortunate, all over San Diego County. She is someone who stands with you, when you are in need. She has inspired her sister to have strength while she was recently diagnosed with cancer. Maribel has encouraged those around her to do better and help others and that is why she is a Hometown Hero.
