Rafel and Jessica were nominated by Rafel’s sister, Chyanne. Rafel and Jessica are expecting their first son in February, but have recently received the devastating news that he will be born with deformities not only in his arms but also in his heart. Due to their financial hardships this year, Rafel made the tough decision to enlist in the Army to ensure the best care for his new family.
