Spackle Jim: He’s a 10-year-old, 15-pound, male, Terrier mix.

Spackle Jim was picked up as a stray. The person who found him, took him home, hoping to reunite him with his family.

He said that, while Jim was staying with him in his home, Jim got along fine with his larger dog and their young children. He liked to go on walks.

When they couldn’t find his family, they took Jim to a local shelter.
He stayed there a few weeks. When nobody claimed him, Spackle Jim was transferred to Rancho Coastal Humane Society through Friends of County Animal Shelters (FOCAS).

Spackle Jim was adopted and went to his new home.

Then he was returned after a week. His adopter got him home and found out that this ten-year-old dog had more energy than they anticipated.

Spackle Jim loved to go on walks. He wanted to walk longer than his adopter did. She took him on two 30-minute walks per day. He wanted more.

During the time in his home, Spackle Jim was almost never left home alone.
When he was left alone, they put him in a playpen. It didn’t take him long to learn how to climb out. Smart dog.

He does not like to ride in the car. He would rather stay home and snuggle.

The animal care attendants say “Spackle Jim is a handsome pup who can fill the cracks of your heart and make your house a home.”

The $75 adoption fee for Spackle Jim includes medical exam, neuter, up to date vaccinations, registered microchip, and a one-year license if his new home is in the jurisdiction of San Diego Humane Society.
