Ms. Maty is the director and founder of Assertive Family Solutions which is an organization that provides resources to caregivers who are caring for children in place of their biological parents. Pre-COVID, Mrs. Maty would host monthly support groups, providing resources and training geared towards successful parenting and positive experiences for the children. She networked with community leaders, public and private organizations to achieve this. Ms. Maty is so giving of herself and her time, always providing assistance for these families and that is what makes her an amazing Hometown Hero.
